Experience 

Melina started as a freelance Makeup Artist in 2011 while she was working as a Nurse Tech at Spectrum in Grand Rapids, she was also a full time student at Davenport University at the time studying Business Management and Medical Assisting. After a couple of years, her clientele kept growing. She and her husband thought it was time for her to leave the medical field and attend cosmetology school. She enrolled at Douglas J Aveda In Grand Rapids in 2014 and was offered a position at Sephora as a Senior Educating Consultant. Melina was eventually promoted to store Manager at Sephora.

 

Personal Life

Melina is married to her wonderful husband and business partner of 9 years, Bernie. Together they have two beautiful girls: Kamila & Ava, along with their family black lab Tom “Bobo” Izzo - clearly they are MSU fans. Go Green!

 

Favorite makeup application

Melina loves doing brows, it amazes her how much brows can change the face! Nothing satisfies her more than doing a clean sculpted brow. And you cant forget skincare! Skincare is very important, even if you don’t wear makeup. Investing in a good skincare routine will save you money in the future. The younger you do it, the better for you later down the road. I suggest anything with SPF. Protect your beautiful skin!
